After our harvest but before putting our wine into the barrel, San Pietro took us to a vendemmia festa that’s been a tradition for the last ten years. It’s a full-day event, starting with two small harvests at different vineyards (friends of SP’s who donate the grapes), and ending with a slow-rolling meal and grape crushing – foot style.
This is a group of friends who have a place on the other side of Ripatransone from us. Very rustic, and totally relaxing. We watched the kids crush the grapes, looked around the place, and even helped by making a bit of the pasta. TONS of fun!
