As the weather finally turned cold here on the farm, we made a dash for the warmth of Zanzibar. Our itinerary took us on a Qatar Airways flight (*very* nice!) from Rome to Doha, Qatar and then on to Zanzibar.
After arriving, we made our way across the island to the wonderful Matemwe Lodge. Everything there was just fantastic – the people, the food, and especially the setting. And every evening included a proper Happy Hour… with bush babies (monkeys) waiting for a banana hand out.
It was an extremely relaxing vacation in a very exotic, laid back part of the world. If you haven’t been, put it on your list!
