It’s time to put the red wine to bed in their bottles. This was the 2015 montepulciano d’abruzzo. Sadly, we didn’t make that much of it — maybe 130 bottles or so. But happily, we had lots of help from our good friends Ian, Susan, and Natalia.
Hopefully, you’ll get a chance to taste it and they’ll come back and help with the 2016!
Terri and Arnie Robbins were my neighbors across the street on Westminster. We were at 5032.
They proudly posted a bottle of Motepulciano you recently produced. It also happens to be our favorite wine (grape).
Are you importing/exporting any to the States and/or how can we order any.
Thank you and you have a lovely vineyard — we are jealous.
Hi, Fritz! Thanks for the kind words. We like Montepulciano too! (This is Montepulciano d’Abruzzo — it’s a specific type of grape from this area of Italy, different from the more well-known Montepulciano Nobile which is from the area around the town of Montepulciano.)
We grow grapes and sell them to our local cooperative. The wine we make is house wine, so we are not able to sell it. If you every have the chance, please come visit… there’s plenty of the red wine in our basement!
Cheers,
Bob and Gina
